Renaissance Style Filigree Floral Pendant 1960's
After the Middle Ages there was a rebirth or "renaissance" of styles. Clothes and jewellery along with decorative items became more intricate and rich and embellished. From time to time there are further re births in style that look back in to the past. During the 1960's along with a number of ancient trends, there was also a re birth of renaissance style jewellery. This pendant is in that style. It is in very good condition with a glass covered floral designed cameo centrepiece surrounded with gold tone filigree frame including a little putti or angel shaped figure above it. There is also four strands of white enamelling. Very pretty and measuring 4cms x 5.5cms. There is a design mark to the back of "2167" The gold tone chain measures 62cms to fit all necks, finished with a firm ring clasp.
