Kenneth Jay Lane
Vintage Online Are Proud Suppliers of Authentic Kenneth Jay Lane Jewellery From Around The Globe
Kenneth Jay Lane is an American costume jewellery designer from Detroit, Michigan. Originally a shoe designer for Delman and Dior, he spent his free time creating flashy baubles. They were such a success that Saks Fifth Avenue sold its entire initial inventory in one day. Kenneth Jay Lane has created designs for Jackie Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Vreeland, and Audrey Hepburn. He is most well known for his three strand faux pearl necklace worn by Barbara Bush to her husband’s inaugural ball. Some say that Duchess of Windsor is buried in the jewelled belt that he created for her. His pieces are now considered by many as collectable as precious gems, with vintage pieces selling at Christies and Sotheby’s and Doyle of New York.
