Little Nemo USA Vintage Pot Metal 1940's Brooch

A fabulous large pot metal brooch from the 1940's period manufactured by Brier Manufacturing, Rhode Island, USA. The company was founded in 1913 and was in business until 1978. Their marketing name Little Nemo was chosen  from a popular comic strip in the New York Herald which ran from 1905 until 1926.  Their pot metal range produced in the 1940's was meant as a way of competing with the wonderful costume jewellery produced in Czechoslovakia. A great quality vintage piece, in very good condition with a firm roll over clasp to the back. Little Nemo signature to the back .It is a silver coloured pot metal with sparkling clear rhinestones.  Measurement is 9cms x 6cms. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
