1940's Pot Metal Enamelled Floral Brooch

Pot Metal was used extensively in the production of costume jewellery during the 1930's and in to the 1940's. It was a way to use left over metals which were combined and cast in to shapes.  This is a really pretty example set with six blue sapphire glass rhinestones each one prong set with enamelled flowers and leaves. A large colourless rhinestone holds the bunch together.  It is in very good condition with no wear to the enamelling. It has obviously been well looked after.
