1940's Vintage Green Glass Ribboned Brooch

A striking 1940's  brooch featuring rich green prong set and faceted stones set in a bold sculptural ribbon design typical of the era. It is a piece that reflects the glamour and the resilience of war time fashion.  Various metals were used for jewellery during that time as many precious metals were not easy to obtain. This brooch has a rose gold effect to the metal. It is quite large at 7cms x 5cms. There is a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. It is in good condition.
