1940's Vintage Dangle Brooch

A beautiful authentic 1940's brooch, very much a statement piece with silver tone metal and deep blue sapphire rhinestones.  1940 heralded the end of the Art Deco era and so there was a change from the geometric lines of Art Deco to the flowing more naturalistic shapes of the ongoing period. Here we have a typical example of the early 1940's. A unique brooch from USA with organic shapes of silver tone metal set with  clusters of blue sapphire rhinestones, and dangles. Quite substantial in size at 7cms x 8cms. In very good condition, with little wear obvious and a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. It actually has the look of the early Joseff of Hollywood pieces, but it is unsigned. An iconic 40's look, gift boxed by Vintageonline.
