WWII Sweetheart Pendant

I wonder if they had a long loving life together? Sweet nostalgia in this heart shaped lucite pendant from the WWII period with a soldier and his sweetheart in the photograph. Measurement of the heart is 3cms x 4cms with a small pendant bale through which a ribbon or chain can go.  It is in good pre loved condition with obvious wear from its long history.
