Because of the noise the male cicadas make in a singing fashion, the cicada is also often used as a symbol for a musician or singer.   Throughout the last 100 years, cicadas have often been symbolized in jewellery both high end and costume jewellery. This is a light resin with gold finish and set with 16 rhinestones. Overall dimension is 5.5cms in length and 2cms across his back. In perfect new condition.
