Purple Glass Czech Vintage Brooch 1930's

$85.00 AUD

The beautiful jewellery produced in Czechoslovakia before WW11 is particularly recognised for quality of both the glass stones produced there and the brass tone filigree the stones are set in to. Brass and tin alloys were the typical metals used, sometimes with a thin wash of gold or silver.  Although some pieces were marked Czecho or Czechoslovakia many were not signed at all, probably to save both time and money.  Much of their production was sent to many places throughout the world. Each of the five gorgeous purple faceted stones are prong set and alternate with cones of brass filigree. Overall dimension is a little over 5cms across. There is a strong C shaped clasp to the back. In very good condition, particularly noting its age of almost 100 years.   Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
