Mid Century Aurora Australia Vintage Brooch

Little is known about the signature "Aurora" from the 1950's - 1960's time period. It is likely to be the name of a range of jewellery rather than an actual company by that name. Not a lot of costume jewellery was produced in Australia at that time and the markings of Aurora are now highly collectable. This is a versatile piece, perfect to be worn alone, or as part of a collection. It is in excellent condition with some light reflection only showing in the photographs. There is a smooth round black stone surrounded by a garland of aurora borealis stones set in silver tone metal. Measurement across is 5cms.
