Micro Mosaic Vintage Pendant Necklace

Made in Italy, which is the centre of the universe for these beautiful pieces hand made from tiny ceramic pieces.   They are often tourist pieces brought back from the perfect Italian holiday and have been produced there since the time of the grand tours in the late 18th century. The micro mosaics in this lovely pendant are still vibrant and measurement of the pendant is 3cms x a little over 3cms.  I would think it is from the 1960's-1970's period. There is some gentle wear to the pendant which enhances the vintage look. The chain which measures 40cms end to end is finished with a lobster clasp. The bale is fairly wide and large enough to take a thicker or longer chain if required.
