Lee Sands 1970's Vintage Lion Head Necklace & Earrings

Fabulous head of a lion featuring Mother of Pearl and Abalone inlay on black background, with black onyx and amethyst beaded strand.  Lee Sands started his jewellery business in Hawaii in 1975. It was different, like nothing before it, bringing puka shell craft to a world wide audience. His collections became highly sought after for their unique bohemian aesthetic, and now his vintage pieces are highly collectable. His production of this wonderful handcrafted jewellery ceased in 2003.  The lion head set is attributable to his earlier days - late 1970's - 1980's.

The fabulous head of the lion measures 5.5cms x 6cms.  The beaded necklace measures 45cms end to end, finished with a gold tone lobster style clasp which as the LS signature on it.  The matching lion head earrings are clip on - firm and comfortable, and measure 2.5cms across.  Wear together, or singularly.....a striking set in perfect condition.
