Kafin of New York Vintage Mid Century Snake Design Choker Necklace & Bracelet

How very special.  This is a vintage Kafin of New York gold tone necklace featuring a herringbone chain designed with crossed arrows and a central drop pendant adorned with blue crystal central rhinestone and clear rhinestones.  There is also a matching bracelet . A beautiful and hard to find set. Kafin of New York were in business between 1943 and 1964. Not a lot is known about the company except that some of their pieces were signed, and some were not.  These pieces are not signed but they are acknowledged as Karin of New York, and well documented. The company wholesaled to only high end stores and it may be some of their jewellery was left unsigned for that reason.  The choker necklace measures 37cms end to end and the interlocked snake like chain has a width of 6mm/ The sapphire blue stone and clear crystal rhinestones are bright.  There is a well working firm fold over clasp. All of that is mirrored in the matching bracelet which measures 17cms end to end. In very good pre loved condition gift boxed by Vintageonline.
