Delft Windmill Tourist Brooch set in Silver frame
Delft is not a particular factory but rather a style of pottery production and was named after the Dutch city of the same name. Delft jewellery has been made since 1879 with the Delft pottery in production for many years prior to that. Most of this type of jewellery has been produced since the 1920's. The transfer printed pottery disc is set in to a silver filigree scrollwork frame and this particular brooch is substantial in size at 5cms across. There is the Delft Holland signature to the back and a firm roll in clasp. It is in excellent vintage condition and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
