Antique Edwardian Memorial Locket with Photograph and Hair Memento.

A nostalgic piece from so long ago. Made from gilt metal - most probably gilded brass in typical late Victorian-Edwardian style. The locket is hinged, easy to open and close again. Inside is the photo of a gentleman - a husband, a lover, a father ?? And in the other side of the locket under glass is woven hair. This was a very popular thing to do at that time in the early 19th century. It is well loved with the imprint on one side where someone has opened it and closed it over the years. There is patterned filigree over the locket and it measures 3cms x 2cms. The gilt original chain measures 39cms and is finished with a typical gilt push in clasp.
