60's Juliana by Delizza and Elster Rhinestone Brooch

A large sparkling imposing brooch at 6cms across with a three dimensional effect, each layer varying in size of rhinestone. and each rhinestone has an aurora borealis finish, an effect developed by Swarovski in the 1950's. The finish gives it an irridiscent glow reflecting blues and purples. Set in silver tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. Juliana jewellery was sold with a hang tag and was created by the jewellery company Delizza and Elster of New York USA from 1947 until the 1990's. This particular brooch can be verified as Juliana on the "isitJulianajewelry" website and has reference number 1249.  The design elements and construction of D and E jewellery sets it apart from many other vintage designers and D and E also at that time manufactured for a number of other designers as well as producing their own ranges.
