1940's Retro Bunny Figural Brooch

I have been hoping to find this bunny for some time and he has finally hopped over from USA.  This fabulous vintage piece is attributed and well documented to the Herman Pomerantz Company of New York who were in business from 1902 - 1967. Due to the loss of original sketch books and samples after Herman's death in 1967 the brand is considered highly collectible. The bunny range is unsigned.  He has a gold wash body and white metal tail with clear rhinestone paving. His red glass ears are beautiful.  He does have some wear befitting his 80 plus years -a little age related wear to the metal, a well loved rabbit.  He measures 7cm in length and 3cm across his beautiful red glass ears. His eyes and nose are hand painted. The catch to the back is a roll over safety clasp. A sought after figural from the golden age of vintage costume jewellery, gift boxed by Vintageoline.
