Calypso Fruit Mid Century Earrings

Just fabulous, quirky mid century look with these true vintage clip on earrings. Each has a bunch of bananas and various fruits. Originally there would have been two leaves to each earring...now there is two leaves on one earring and one leaf on the other earring. It does not seem to detract at all when worn. Overall size of each earring is 4cms x 3cms. The gold tone clip mechanism is comfortable and firm. No9 doubt inspired originally by Carmen Miranda the Portugese born Brazilian samba singer, dancer, and Broadway actress who was active from the late 1920's until her early death at 46.  The fruit embellishments seemed to continue through the 1950's and this is when these great earrings appeared.
