Italian Micro Mosaic 1940's Bracelet

Beautiful micro mosaic set in brass. A nostalgic and special bracelet from the 1940's period hand crafted in Italy. (Marked Italy to the back) The micro mosaic jewellery of Italy was popular first as souvenir jewellery starting from the time of the Grand Tour during the late 18th and early 19th century. Skilled artisans placing each tiny tile in to the setting. Each of the four sided squares measure 1.5cms x 1.5cms. and length of the bracelet end to end is 20cms finished with a firm hook clasp. There is some wear to the inside only of the bracelet whilst the mosaic tiling is still intact and bright. Highly collectable nostalgic piece. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
