Thai Silver Siam Niello Enamel Panel Bracelet

Siam Silver with its dark grey or black background and silver Thai dancers is imagery from Hindu legends. The Niello process was developed during the Renaissence in Italy and the technique of producing this lovely mid century jewellery by hand spread to Siam, now known as Thailand. Pieces can pre date World War 11, but many found today were souvenirs brought back during the 1940's - 1960's period. This lovely example in good condition is a bracelet with 15 panels each depicting a dancer celebrating a God in dance. Width across each panel is 3cms and length end to end is 17.5cms or 7", finished with a firm silver push in clasp with the Sim silver signature. Excellent condition, with very little wear, polishes up beautifully.  Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
