Lisner Vintage 1960's Thermoset Necklace & Bracelet Set.

The American costume jewellery company Lisner operated from 1935 until the early 1970's. It was during a five year period in the 1960's when the lovely thermoset jewellery was produced not only by Lisner but other major companies as well. It was the go to material to accessorise the bright colours of 60's fashion. The invention of lucite by Du Pont in 1931 had been the beginning of the huge trend toward modern playful jewellery. Shapes tended to be very naturalistic in the shape of leaves and flowers. Here we have the oak leaf shape in vibrant white interpersed with clear rhinestones. The necklace and bracelet are matching. Each oak leaf measures 1.5cm x 1.5cm joined with gold tone metal. Length of the necklace end to end is 38cms, finished with a hook clasp. Length of the bracelet end to end is 17cms. Both in excellent condition with Lisner signature to the clasp on bracelet and necklace alike. Thermoset jewellery from 1960's America is highly collectable and makes a true vintage look pop.
