Cinnabar Carved Vintage Bangle

Cinnabar itself is a stone, and one known as a symbol of prosperity and abundance. It has been in fashion to use for jewellery and other items in China, for hundreds of years.  Many of the earlier bangles are beautifully and intricately carved. I am not familiar enough with them, to know if this particular bangle is indeed the cinnabar stone, or one still beautifully carved, but in resin. Some lovely water lilies in the intricate carving. So we assume it is resin. There is 7cm opening across. In perfect condition, been kept in a box for a number of years, now gift boxed by Vintageonline.
