Victorian Triple Head Shell Cameo Brooch

Gods and Goddesses and mythical themes have long been featured on cameo jewellery and the tradition has continued particularly during Victorian times.  Queen Victoria was an avid collector of cameo jewellery. This sweet triple head brooch is from the Victorian period with the head of a goddess hand carved in to each section of shell. . Overall dimension is 4cm width with the central head measuring 2cm in length.  Perfect for the collar of a jacket or frock. Strong pin to the back along with C clasp. The cameos are set in to a gold metal. In good condition especially given its now approximately 130 year age. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
