Jewelcraft by Coro Enamelled Vintage 50's Floral Necklace

A pretty white enamelled choker necklace set in silver tone metal with black centres to the floral sections. From the famous US brand Coro, which operated a production company also in the UK. In 1933 a showroom was established in London in Argyll Street, close to Oxford Street. They planned to sell across Europe from this showroom but the war and also a court case with the British Company Ciro intervened.  The Ciro Company were less than impressed that a US company would start up in the UK with a name similar to theirs. The matter eventually resolved with the Coro company agreeing to use the name Jewelcraft in the UK.  This necklace was recently purchased in the UK, and the design is attributed to Coro. It is unsigned and many Jewelcraft pieces were unsigned and sold only with a tag or box.  Width of the floral section is 2.5cms and length end to end only 40cms - choker style. Because our necks are bigger these days I will include a 6cm extension chain to the hook, giving 46cms in total.  The necklace has obviously been very well looked after and is in excellent condition for its now 60 plus years.
