Birthday Brooch For March Violets by Exquisite UK 1960's

Exquisite Birthday brooches were a popular line from the Exquisite Jewellery Company produced in Solihull, UK during the 1960's. They produced a different flower for each month and this gorgeous example is their design for March. Beautifully hand crafted with cold enamelling these are highly collectable. The Exquisite brand itself was a trademark of W.A.P. Watson (founded in 1914) and they were in business until the 1970's.  Made from strong gold tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back, the brooch measures 7cms x 5cms. It is in good condition, with some minimal wear to the enamelling commensurate with its 60 plus years of age, but nothing that detracts from wearing this nostalgic vintage violet delight.
