Birthday Brooch for February Primrose by Exquisite UK 1960's

Exquisite Birthday brooches were a popular line from the Exquisite Jewellery Company, produced in Solihull, Uk during the 1960's. They produced a different flower for each month and this gorgeous example is their design for February. Beautifully hand crafted with cold enamelling these are highly collectable. The Exquisite brand itself was a trademark of W.A.P Watson (founded in 1914) and they were in business until the 1970's. Made from strong gold tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back, the brooch measures 6.5cms x 5cms. It is in  good condition with the Exquisite name to the back. Some minimal wear to the enamelling commensurate with its 60 plus years of age, but nothing that detracts from wearing this nostalgic vintage primrose design.
