Exquisite Birthday brooches were a popular line from the Exquisite Jewellery Company produced in Solihull, UK during the 1960's. They produced a different flower for each month, and this gorgeous example is their design for December...called Christmas Rose it is a timely gift for either birthday, or Christmas, or just for giving. Beautifully hand crafted with cold enamelling these are highly collectable. The Exquisite brand itself was a trademark of W.A.P Watson (founded in 1914) and they were in business until the 1970's. Made from strong gold tone metal with a firm roll over safety clasp, and Exquisite signature to the back, the brooch measures 7cms x 5cms.
