Pearl & French Jet Bead Choker Necklace

French jet was a term given to black glass beads originally produced in France around the time of the popularity of Whitby Jet during the mourning period for Prince Albert during the 19th Century. The popularity of the beads encouraged other manufacturers to produce them around the world. This is a sweet vintage necklace with faux pearls wired together with French Jet bead drops. Size of the fully faceted black beads is 15mm across and length end to end of the necklace is 37cms. From a time when necks were small.
