Sarah Coventry
Sarah Coventry Vintage 60's Brooch
Sarah Coventry was a costume jewellery business founded by Lyman Stuart in New York in 1949 and went on to become a huge success with its home shopping party sales approach to marketing. The name Sarah was after the founder's grand daughter. They were in business until they went bankrupt in 1981. During the 1960's they produced many golden flower series and this lovely Sunflower design became one of their iconic designs. At the time they also produced matching clip on earrings. Recently arrived from America, it is a large brooch at 7cms across. Made from brushed gold tone metal with layered sculptured petals and a detailed dome centre. The construction is very strong and finished with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. In excellent condition, gift boxed by Vintageonline.
