Czech Vintage Filigree Peking Glass Dress Clip

$75.00 AUD
A dress clip can be worn in many ways, as a brooch at a V neck...clipped to a jacket collar or hat, and attached to a chain or string of beads or pearls. This is a lovely authentic 1930's piece which would have originated in Czechoslovakia. Whilst the Neiger Brothers were prolific producers of costume jewellery during the 1930's and this lovel clip has the look of a Neiger design, there were also many other artisan costume jewellery makers at that time. Peking Glass was being produced in China during the 18th century and continued. During the late 19th century Czechoslovakian designers began producing imitation Peking Glass Beads.  The rectangular central stone in this beautiful clip is faux Peking glass and it is embellished with gold tone metal filigree. The frame around is also gold tone filigree embellished with enamelled flower heads. Overall dimension is 5.5cms x 4.5cms. It is in very good condition with a firm gold tone metal clip to the back.  Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
