Hattie Carnegie Mid Century Vintage Brooch

Hattie Carnegie had a Cinderella story from rags to riches. For decades her personal taste and fashion sense influenced the styles worn by countless American women. From her humble beginnings in the hat department at Macy's (earning her her nickname) and opening her own first shop in 1909.

Signed Hattie Carnegie this is a lovely typical style of hers with brushed gold tone metal with a centre to the flower head of encrusted rhinestones. Recently arrived from USA a lovely quality vintage brooch now approximately 70 years old. In very good pre loved condition, measuring 6.5cms x 3.5cms.  A firm roll over safety clasp to the back.
