Rare Antique Guilloche Photo Brooch

Such an exceptional find. There are two photographs each with the head of a young girl and they sit either side of the oval shaped guilloche enamelled centrepiece which slides upwards to reveal the photos, and back again for normal use.   Overall dimension is 5cms x 4cms. It is a brass tone metal. The guilloche enamelling is perfect and a little wear to the metal but nothing that detracts from its antique beauty. There is a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. There were early prototypes of this clasp in the early 1900's, and by the 1940's it was a popular catch used. The brooch dates to somewhere during that period - early 1900's. So unusual, and beautiful, from the United States of America with unknown provenance.
