Kenneth Jay Lane was highly celebrated for creating high end "fabulous fakes" worn by socialites and celebrities. This particular domed basket weave cage aesthetic over faux gemstones that look like root beer lucite is a perfect example of his bold glamorous late 20th century statement jewellery. There is the KJL mark stamped to the clip of each earring plus a signature to the underside of each earring.  Measurement of each earring is substantial at 4cms x 2cms.
