BSK My Fair Lady Vintage 60's Brooch

$70.00 AUD

BSK was a New York based costume jewellery company in business from 1948 until the late 1970's.  The letters BSK stood for the first initials of the owners names. The company was known for simple well made jewellery using enamelling, rhinestones and faux pearls set in brushed metal, and sold throughout department stores.  The Broadway musical My Fair Lady opened in 1956 and BSK produced several jewellery designs to celebrate the show. This floral enamelled brooch is a lovely example complete with the BSK signature and My Fair Lady emblem. The My Fair Lady Film starring Audrey Hepburn opened in 1964 and the My Fair Lady range was extremely popular.   The brooch is in excellent condition for its age of over 60 years with each enamelled flower head centred with a clear rhinestone. Some slight wear to the enamelling which is exaggerated  by the camera and not obvious when worn. Dimension across is 6cms with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. Just lovely, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
