Lucite Mid Century Vintage Bird Brooch

Lucite was a new plastic material developed by Dupont in 1931. With a lack of many materials after the ending of World War 2 lucite came in to its own for a wide variety of products including a fabulous range of Lucite jewellery. This is a large lucite bird reverse carved from the back, late 1940's - early 1950's vintage.  Overall dimension is a wingspan of 10cms and length 5cms. Red hand painted eye, firm roll in C clasp to the back. In excellent condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
