Large Sapphire Blue Crystal Czech Vintage Brooch 1940's

Glorious sapphire blue Bohemian stones set in japanned filigree metal from the late 1930's-1940's period when Czechoslovakia was the centre of the universe in the production of outstanding costume jewellery. The combination of their superb craftmanship and wonderful Bohemian crystal stones gained the artisans of the day a first class reputation. This is a large brooch at 9cms across and a width of 6.5cms The beauty of the blue fully faceted stones is difficult to capture and harder to describe.
