WW11 Make Do & Mend 1940's Brooch
During the second world war women became very creative at producing adornments from every day items and materials to hand. These little "Make Do & Mend" Brooches were produced from a kit that was available to make your own brooch. This one has a circle of cream coloured plastic wire wrapped around a metal circle and attached to a bar pin. Centred in the middle are three hand made flower heads, also in plastic. This one is in excellent condition and measures 4.5cms across. The brass tone bar pin works efficiently. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
