Vintage Hollycraft 1958 Foiled Glass & Rhinestone Brooch
The Hollycraft company in USA began in 1938 as Hollywood Jewelry and the name was changed to Hollycraft in order to avoid confusion with the company Joseff of Hollywood. It was a leading manufacturer of costume jewellery during the 1950's and especially good now is that at that time they were dating the pieces. The company was sold by the founder/designer Joseph Chorbajian in the early 1970's and ceased manufacture all together just a few short years later. This gorgeous Hollycraft example is signed for 1958. It is a combination of unusual Dragons Breath Foiled Glass stones and rhinestones in shades of blue-green. All set in gold tone metal. Overall dimension is 7cm x 4cm. In excellent condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline. True 1950's and very special.
