Vintage Corn Rhinestone Brooch

Jewellery shapes are often symbolic in their design. The corn shape is a symbol of fertility, re birth, new beginnings. In this vintage brooch the "corn" shape is encrusted with a variety of coloured rhinestones. There is a gold tone leaf either side and three tiny coloured rhinestones depicting the ribbon tie.  Overall dimension is 6.5cms x 3cms. The brooch was produced in America, set in quality gold tone metal, in very good condition, likely to be from the 1960's-1970's period. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
