Vintage 1960's Brooch
Trombone clasps were first invented in the late 1800's and were used for costume jewellery along with newer designs right up until the middle of the 20th century, which places this lovely vintage brooch at around the 1950's - 1960's period. During that time a lot of jewellery was produced with a look back to earlier times, and this does have an antique Victorian look. There is a large oval shaped aqua colored stone set in to an heraldic shaped gilt frame. Overall dimension is 4.5cms x 3.5cms. There is also a small hoop at the back which enables the wearing of the brooch as a pendant. In excellent condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
