Victorian Mother of Pearl Antique Brooch

A very stylish mother of pearl brooch with gold frame. It has the look of real gold, but does not test as such.  Late 19th century jewellery was often produced from alloy metals made to look like gold. It dates from the late 19th or early 20th century.   Overall measurement is 4cms x 2.5cms. It is in very good condition especially considering its 100 plus years of age. A traditional long pin to the back with C shaped clasp.
