Victorian Golden Jubilee 1887 Silver Brooch

The Golden Jubilee for Queen Victoria was held on 20th June 1887. Many items of memorabilia were produced including commemorative jewellery. The jubilee was the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Queen Victoria's ascension to the throne.  One of the many highlights of the time was a banquet with 50 European Kings and Princes in attendance. This is a beautiful silver commemorative brooch in really good condition considering its age. Overall dimension is 5cms x 2cms. There are British hallmarks to the back and a firm C clasp.
