Nielloware 1930's Earrings

Enamelling on silver is a process that has been used by the craftsmen of Thailand for centuries and during the first half of the last century the jewellery pieces became very popular as the area became a highly sought after tourist destination. This lovely pair of fan shaped clip on earrings are marked Siam Sterling.   Siam became Thailand in 1939 so that means that the earrings were produced before that time.  They are extremely comfortable clip ons in very good condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
