Miriam Haskell Vintage Onyx Brooch
Miriam Haskell opened her retail shop in New York City in 1926 and went on to be an acclaimed designer of quality costume jewellery for many decades. Until the 1940's a hang tag was used until her signature cartouche was added in the late 1940's. This lovely brooch is from the late 1940's - early 1950's period. There is an oval dark brown onyx stone framed with the iconic Russian gold tone filigree for which Miriam Haskell pieces are so renowned. Overall dimension is not huge at 4cms x 2.5cms. In excellent condition especially considering its almost 80 years age. There is the Miriam Haskell signature cartouche and firm roll over safety clasp to the back. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
