MIRIAM HASKELL 1930's Rare Leaf and Bead Brooch
A fabulous find in this original 1930's Miriam Haskell brooch. Gilt metal leaves, deep raspberry red glass beads and chain...the iconic look unmistakeably Haskell. Haskell pieces were unsigned from 1926 until the late 1940's. The metal stamping to the back is an indication that this beautiful brooch was produced prior to the second world war as when the United States entered the war, American findings companies turned their production to produce for the war effort and the construction of the back plate went from metal to plastic. I was lucky enough to find this piece on my recent American trip and it is just beautiful, in excellent condition. Overall dimension is 9cms x 8cms. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
