Lisner Lucite 1960's Necklace
The American Company Lisner began during the 1930's and eventually moved from New York to Providence Rhode Island where many of the costume jewellery companies of the day were situated. When Dupont produced a new coloured acrylic plastic called lucite they were one of the first costume jewellery companies to embrace the use of it in a wide range of their jewellery. During the 1960's these ranges were particularly popular. This lovely necklace is from that time.
There are nine lucite leaves embellished with gold tone each measuring 2.5cms x 2cms, attached to gold tone chain ending with a hook clasp. The chain itself measures 42cms end to end. In very good condition for approximately 65 years old, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
