Lea Stein Josephine Baker Authentic Brooch

Josephine Baker was a world renowned American born French dancer and singer who symbolized the beauty of Black American culture. She was a leading showgirl in Paris in the 1920's. Her story is worth reading. This is a gorgeous depiction of her beauty from Lea Stein Paris. Overall dimension is 5.5cms x 4cms.  The Lea Stein signature is on the V shaped clasp at the back. Mentioned for accuracy - this hand made design typically shows Josephine's highlights which she actually wore as an eye shadow.  In the process of manufacture I would say that some spots of that are also on her nose area. It is hard to see except in the camera light.  It does not detract from the charm of this gorgeous brooch although I have reflected that in a lower price. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
