Kenneth Jay Lane
KJL Night & Day Filigreed Maltese Cross Brooch
Kenneth Jay Lane began producing fabulous costume jewellery in America during the 1960's and went on to become very high profile within the industry. His pieces were worn by many famous women during the following years. In 1996 KJL pearls worn by Jacqueline Kennedy sold at auction for $211,000. Not even real pearls ! This particular brooch is contemporary from a more recent collection, with an intriguing centrepiece that with the flip of a finger can be moved from the gold filigree side to the rhinestone side. The brooch also has a pendant hoop so that it can be placed on a chain or ribbon and worn as a pendant.
Overall dimension is 7cms x 7cms in the shape of the maltese cross with a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. In pristine new condition, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
