KJL Kenneth Jay Lane Leopard with Bow Brooch
Kenneth Jay Lane was originally a graduate of the Rhode Island (USA) School of Design and went on to work for the likes of Hattie Carnegie and Christian Dior before beginning his own costume jewellery company in 1963. He has been a leader in the field of good costume jewellery design for many years counting many famous women like Jacqueline Kennedy amongst his customers. This lovely leopard head finished with black glossy bow has the KJL signature to the back. Overall dimension is 4cms x 5.5cms. There is a firm roll over safety clasp to the back. Likely to be a piece from the 1980's period although research has not turned up a definite date. Gift boxed by Vintageonline.
