Jewelcrest Mid Twentieth Century Australian Rhinestone Brooch
During the middle of the last century Jewelcrest were a company highly regarded in Australia for the production of quality rhinestone costume jewellery. In particular under the guidance of their Head Designer Donald Simpson. The outstanding features in the manufacture of their jewellery was that each rhinestone was prong set, not glued and they perfected a layering technique with each piece set in to rhodium plating. This particular brooch is a perfect example and it is also in pristine condition, possibly part of a collection and never worn. Overall dimension is substantial with a width of 8cms and a depth across of 3.5cms. The navette rhinestones are prong set and clear and bright. Perfect gift for the lover of vintage glamour.
